About Try-Fail-Learn-Repeat

Hello!

I am Simon Bungers, a PhD neuroscientist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in life sciences, entrepreneurship and investment-from neuroscience and e-commerce to digitalization, SaaS, IoT and AI.

As founder and CEO for twelve years of Labforward, a SaaS company for lab digitization, automation and lab intelligence, I have driven the digital transformation of laboratories. Before that, I had already co-founded Sox & Boxers, an e-commerce company for personalised underwear, which my brother and I successfully bootstrapped and sold.

Writing has always been with me - whether it's thoughts, opinions, ideas or notes on books and things I've learnt. In 2018, I started Try-Fail-Learn-Repeat as a blog about entrepreneurship and life as an entrepreneur. After a break from 2020, I started again in 2024.

Why ‘Try-Fail-Learn-Repeat’?

Because entrepreneurs have the courage to break new ground and try things that neither they nor anyone else has done before. Not every experiment is successful, but you can learn from every one. My aim is to simplify this cycle - so that failures become rarer, learning from successes and mistakes is quicker and, of course, I want to inspire people to try things in the first place and, in particular, to try again with more knowledge after failures.
